Games, Abridged

Page 1 of the "Games, Abridged" article is available for your perusal. If you are worried about factual accuracy, you're welcome to re-write the article and I'll even post it for you! Remember, journalists aren't worried about what is correct, just what sounds and looks correct. Ok, so I'm joking (maybe).
When I finish the article we will be taking a look at actual quotes from people in the games industry. I'll also point out a few games that are going this route, and why this is not an option for everyone. But I digress, you'll find out all about it next time.

In the meantime, I want to mention that I observed and momentarily played Godfather for the (original) Xbox. The graphics were solid and the controls smooth. Obviously, many comparisons have been made between it and the GTA games. From what I observed, except the setting and style, there are few differences. However, if you like the idea of playing with the Mafia instead of 'da hood -- or have exhausted your interest in GTA but enjoy the gameplay -- give it a try.

Mentioning the Mafia reminds me of what my wife said just a couple of days ago. She said something about organized crime and the conversation went a little like this..
Me: "You mean the Mafia?"
Her: "Yea, like Paparazzi."
Me: "Um, Paparazzi?"" (I'm confused... organized photographers maybe?)
Her: "Yea, like... [Italian mobster voice] Hey, Papa Razzi!"
Me: (laughing) "Paparazzi? Do you know what Paparazzi is?"
Her: (realizing she's made a mistake) "He's not the big boss guy?"
So yea, that was a fun time. Talk to you next time. Arrivederci!
