Render with Blender! .hectate 09/17/2006 - 18:33 EST Yes, it's been nearly a month. Ironically my last post was late by a week. Whoops. Well, life goes on. I've been playing with Blender, the free, open-source 3D modelling and animation program. If you've ever wanted to learn how to make animations or 3D art, it is an excellent resource at a full 100% less expensive than the "professional" ones. Particularly since my use is just hobby-like. Not to mention that it will be quite a while before the results start to look professional. Speaking of results, I do have some that I'd like to show you. Take a look at the below image, pretty good for a beginner, eh? ![]() I only just started a little while ago. The tutorial I was going through said that I should do a "final" project to help reinforce all the skills that I learned. It gave a few suggestions and I decided to model my computer room. I also have a wireframe of the desk only from last night. I made the mousepad and computer tower this morning, so it doesn't include them. Enjoy and be sure to give me feedback. I'm impressed with myself, so I know I need a critic to keep me in check. Cya! |
